Several dwarf rabbits dumped in Cuijk, probably from a breeder

Several rabbits have been dumped in Cuijk in recent weeks. Because these are always young dwarf rabbits, the animal ambulance thinks this is the work of a breeder. “Grey, white and brown. The rabbits have different colors, but all have long hair. We have already received twelve reports,” says Rens van Lieshout of the Brabant North-East animal ambulance.

Several rabbits have been found on the Opaaldreef and the Heggenrank. “All running loose in the same neighborhoods, on different dates. The breeder probably cannot get rid of them and puts them out of the car there. While he can also hand them over to the animal shelter.”

Some of the rabbits are now still in the shelter. They live temporarily with three reporters. “The owner has 14 days to collect them, otherwise these reporters want to keep the rabbits.”
