Several people have died in the bombing registered this morning in the center of the Ukrainian capital, according to the spokeswoman for the Department of Emergency Situations of kyiv, Svitlana Vodolaga, quoted by the Ukrinform news agency.

“There are dead, there are wounded. We will have more details later. How much, I can’t say yet, because it’s still being reviewed,” Vodolaga reported.

According to the newspaper Kyiv Independentthere have been at least four explosions in the center of the Ukrainian capital this morning and columns of smoke are seen in the center from the city.

The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaly Klitschko, reported on the explosions in the Shevchenkiv district, confirmed through the Telegram network that there were multiple explosions and that emergency services had been dispatched to the affected places.

“Multiple explosions in the Shevchenkiv district, in the center of the capital. All services running. There will be details later,” he said. Vitaly Klitschko in a short message on your Telegram account.

The detonations occurred around 08:15 local time (0515 GMT). The air warning sirens sounded several tens of minutes before the detonations.
