Despite his reserve role, Bayern’s Marc Roca seems to be in high demand. According to various media reports, several foreign clubs are vying for the U21 European champions – including illustrious names.
Marc Roca was once among the most promising midfield talents in Spain. In the summer of 2019 he became the U21 European champion and moved to Bayern Munich a year later. So far, however, Roca has not really been able to gain a foothold in Munich. There are increasing signs that the 25-year-old could leave the German record champions in the summer. There is no shortage of interested parties for the transfer flop.
Betis and Roma show interest in Roca
Reports circulated in Spain last week that Betis Sevilla would like to start a bid to sign Roca in the upcoming transfer period. The Andalusians therefore favor a loan with a subsequent purchase option. Betis have been repeatedly linked with Roca in recent months.
This article is by an author of News portal “fcbinside.de“: In 2019, Vjeko Keskic founded the Bayern fans’ page for Bayern fans. The independent website reports daily on current events at the German record champions.
In addition to a return to his homeland, the midfielder could also be drawn to the Italian Serie A. Here, too, there is a concrete interest in AS Roma.
The capital club was already on Roca last winter. In the end, however, there were no concrete talks. As the daily newspaper “La Republicca” reports, the Roma could dare a new advance in the summer. In addition to star coach Jose Mourinho, sports director Tiago Pinto in particular is said to be a fan of the Bayern professional.
“We’ll talk at the end of the season”
Whether Roca will leave Bayern prematurely at the end of the season is currently completely open. The Spaniard has recently emphasized again and again that he feels comfortable in Munich despite his reserve role. Roca has made just 11 appearances this season, averaging less than 45 minutes on the pitch. According to “BILD”, this does not force a farewell in the summer. According to rumours, this is partly due to the fact that he has a very attractive contract with the record champions, which brings him between 2.5 and 3 million euros a year. It is questionable whether Roca could reap as much from a move.
Bayern, on the other hand, are open to a sale. Even if Corentin Tolisso, a midfielder, will leave the club in the summer, Ryan Gravenberch (Ajax Amsterdam) is already a successor in the starting blocks. Should you receive an attractive offer for Roca, the Bayern bosses will not put any obstacles in the player’s way.
Julian Nagelsmann also recently indicated that at the end of the season they would talk to Roca about his future: “He’s a proud Spaniard who wants to play more. At the end of the season we will talk about whether that happens with us or with another club. But I’m happy with his training performance. He always hangs himself in. It’s about him continuing to believe in it. In the end, what matters is his wish.”
