Seventy new homes are being built in 2e Exloërmond. The construction is part of the neighborhood renewal in the village.
Woonservice made a plan together with the municipality of Borger-Odoorn and residents. 32 homes will be built on Anne de Vriesstraat and Jan Fabriciusstraat, and 38 homes will be built on Middenlaan. “A huge operation, with a major impact on the residents. We are very aware of this. We are doing this because we want to prepare the village for the future,” says Bothilde Buma of Woonservice. Dozens of old homes in those places have previously been demolished.
According to the corporation, these are lifelong and single-family homes for young and old. In addition to new construction, 43 homes will also be made more sustainable. The latter should be ready next summer.
In the village, utility companies are also working on renewing pipes, roads, public lighting and greenery.
