Seventh evacuation flight with Air Force aircraft departed from Sudan | Abroad

It has not been disclosed how many people are on board. Upon arrival, the passengers are met by a defense medical team and a team from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that provides consular assistance.

Earlier, Minister Wopke Hoekstra of Foreign Affairs reported that the vast majority of Dutch people in Sudan had been brought to safety. According to Hoekstra, this concerns ‘around’ 150 Dutch people.

There are still a few dozen Dutch citizens who are registered in Sudan. Some of them choose to stay because they don’t want to leave family behind, don’t have transport to get to the airport or because of the poor security situation in the capital Khartoum.
