Nobel Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi (77) gets an extra seven years in prison

Myanmar’s deposed government leader Aung San Suu Kyi was sentenced to seven years in prison on Friday in the eighteen-month long corruption trial against her. The Myanmar court has found Aung San Suu Kyi guilty of all five remaining charges, a source with knowledge of the case told the French news agency AFP. The 77-year-old has been serving a decades-long prison sentence.
