Seven arrested terror suspects remain in the cell
A third was released under conditions, but the federal prosecutor’s office is appealing. Four other suspects did not show up this morning. Due to a shortage of personnel, it was not possible to arrange their transport. Pieterjan Dens, lawyer absent terror suspect: “I find that a bit hallucinatory. Two terror suspects who were present today will remain in jail for a month longer: It concerns the main suspect, a man from Roeselare who has been under surveillance by State Security for some time. The council chamber released a third suspect from Wevelgem under conditions. But the federal prosecutor’s office appealed against that decision, he will remain in jail for the time being.
