The management, which parted ways with the coach Mert Nobre in Altay, one of the Spor Toto Super League teams yesterday, brought Serkan Özbalta, who was the manager of Manisa FK, to the task.
The young coach became the third name in the black-and-white club this season, after Mustafa Denizli and Mert Nobre. The young coach, who served as a football player in the Super League squad of the black-and-white team in the 1999-2000 season, signed a contract until the end of the season.
Serkan Özbalta, who promoted Keçiörengücü to the TFF 1st League in the 2018-19 seasons and Manisa FK in the 2020-21 seasons, returned to Altay as a “Technical Director” after 20 years, after saying goodbye to him as a football player in 2002. The paths of Serkan Özbalta and the black and white team crossed in 1999. Transferred from Erzincanspor that season, Özbalta played in the Altay U21 Team. After that, Özbalta was loaned to Mersin İY, Keskinspor, and Seyhan Belediyespor, and in 1999-2000 he took part in Altay’s squad in the Super League.

Özbalta, who made Keçiörengücü the champion of the TFF 2nd League without losing a match at home and Manisa FK with the undefeated title and goal records, signed a contract with Altay and set out to join the Antalya camp.
