From 28 July to 22 August, traffic on the A2/N2 Randweg near Eindhoven will experience ‘serious nuisance’ between the Batadorp and Leenderheide interchanges in both directions. A tunnel is being built, Rijkswaterstaat reports. The extra travel time can be up to an hour.
The purpose of the tunnel is to reduce traffic pressure around the city. The underpass at the A2/N2 is the final phase of the new road structure on which Eindhoven has been working since 2019.
Advice
Through traffic is advised to travel via the A73 and A16. For local traffic, the advice is to travel at quiet times as much as possible, or to opt for alternative transport.
