A serious accident has occurred on the Boventilsterweg near Oldehove. Police report that a car crashed into three pedestrians. One of them died on the spot.
The other two pedestrians were taken to hospital with serious injuries. A police spokesperson reports that the driver of the car has been arrested. “He will be taken to the police station and interrogated.”
The emergency services, including police, ambulance and the mobile medical team (MMT) with an air ambulance, arrived on the scene. The fire brigade was also called to install viewing screens, among other things.
The street was completely closed due to the accident. At first it appeared that multiple vehicles were involved in the accident. According to the police, this is not the case.
