Serious accident on Saturday afternoon at a biker meeting in Brandenburg. Two machines crashed into one another on an airfield near Alt Daber (Wittstock/Dosse). Three men died.

It is still unclear at the moment how the tragic accident could have happened at what the police say is a private event.

According to the Potsdam situation center, the victims are 36, 46 and 47 years old. It is not known whether the third man was still on one of the machines.

Rescue workers, police and Dekra experts are on site.

The Alt Daber airfield is a former military airfield that opened in 1930 and was shut down with the withdrawal of the Soviet troops on June 20, 1994, as Rottenplaces says. The site, especially the runways, served as a race track at times and was used for various events. In 2014, the city was able to start with the dismantling, but some buildings are listed buildings.
