Serie D, German Denis signs with Real Calepina

Real Calepina, a team from Bergamo, will be able to count on the goals of Tanque, a friend of the Capelli coach: “I can’t wait to help my new teammates”

A tank with the vice of scoring landed in group B of the Lombard Serie D. Real Calepina, a Bergamo-based team based in Grumello del Monte (among the hills where well-known wines are produced), has formalized the engagement of German “El Tanque” Denis, the iconic Argentine striker who has written indelible pages in the history of Atalanta, scoring as many as 56 Nerazzurri goals between 2011 and 2016. Having freed himself from Reggina (after three years of 17 goals in Calabria and a promotion from C to B), the former, among others from Naples and Udinese, has chosen to go down two categories, tied by a feeling of friendship, cultivated at the time when he played for the Goddess, with Daniele Capelli and Matteo Moranda, respectively coach and assistant coach of Real, determined to carry out this transfer market operation. “A wonderful opportunity, I can’t wait to help the boys. I am very happy to be part of this club ”, the first words of Denis, who today also celebrated his 41st birthday.

IMMEDIATELY IN THE FIELD

The striker with around 200 career goals (between Argentina, Italy and Peru) will greet his new audience in tomorrow’s match against Desenzano Calvina. “It is a historic operation for our club: a player who will make an important contribution in technical terms, experience and charisma to our young squad”, commented Alberto Vescovi, managing director of Real Calepina (the association, in its third season in D, was born in 2020 from the merger between Sirmet Telgate and Atletico Chiuduno Grumellese). “For the Bergamo players Denis is not a simple player: today the boys from our youth sector came to greet him and hug him – said Real sporting director Giuseppe Nervi -. After freeing himself from Reggina, Denis did some training with us in July and in that period we understood that he could have made the emotional choice to return to Bergamo ”.
