In group B, the Romagna players need yet another feat from the striker to beat Fermana and remain firmly in the lead. In group C, fifth consecutive success for Pazienza’s team in Monopoli
Here’s everything that happened on the eventful Saturday in Serie C in all three groups.

Vicenza took advantage of the episodes, passing on the Pergolettese field (2-0) thanks to Cuomo’s strike from a corner and Piccinini’s own goal midway through the second half, after De Luca had failed to equalise. In the 1-1 draw between Arzignano and Pro Sesto, guests ahead with Bruschi and joined from the spot by the newly arrived Faggioli. Double narrow away success (1-0) for Novara on the Giana pitch – Urso scored, an advantage then defended due to numerical superiority due to the red card for Caferri – and for Legnago at Renate’s home, thanks to Van Ransbeeck’s winning free kick.

The Cesena-Fermana spin (1-0) was resolved by Cristian Shpendi, with his 14th goal in the championship (of which 11 were scored against Manuzzi); the league leaders – provisionally 9 points ahead of Torres – have yet to concede a goal in 2024, with Pisseri’s goal unbeaten for 528 minutes. In the race for third place, Perugia stopped at 0-0 in Rimini thanks to Colombi’s saves: the expert goalkeeper (formerly of Reggina and Parma) said no to Dutch Lewis in the first half and to Seghetti in the second, thus slowing down the journey of the Formisano team which had just won four victories. In the race for third place, Pescara’s ratings rise again: the biancazzurri – with their third consecutive success – took the derby with Pineto in the final thanks to the performances of De Marco and Merola, then dedicating the victory to Zdenek Zeman who did not go in bench for a flu attack. However, Juventus Next Gen’s climb into the playoff zone continues, in the best moment of its season (seven useful results in a row): against Ancona – a match in which, in the first leg, Yildiz’s star shone with a goal and an assist – the final 3-2 was secured by the outside player Simone Guerra, after the guests had taken the lead twice (Giampaolo’s first goal directly from a corner) and then were caught (nice right-footed shot for the 2-2 by Sekulov, returned to base from Cremonese).
GROUP C

In response to the successes of Picerno and – above all – of the league leaders Juve Stabia in the advance matches on Friday, Avellino returns to racing and passes to Monopoli (1-0) thanks to the penalty converted at the start by Patierno (and then thanks Ghidotti for the saves save result). Pazienza’s team is on its fifth consecutive away win, but has not won at the Partenio-Lombardi since October. While waiting for the Benevento-Brindisi postponement, Eziolino Capuano’s Taranto climbs at the foot of the podium, having overcome Monterosi (2-1) thanks to the flash of Francesco Orlando (first goal of the season), capable of making Iacovone explode with joy in forwarded recovery. Goalless draw between Casertana – who haven’t won in four games – and Potenza, while Crotone let Sorrento reach 1-1 (300th among the pros for De Francesco, cold from the spot, then the saves of the defender were decisive ‘under Del Sorbo). At the end, Messina – 10 points in the last 4 games – scored the sensational 3-2 over Francavilla with a super goal from 40 meters by Frisenna, who mocked Branduani (he had left the goal unguarded for an exit) and gave the success to Modica despite the numerical inferiority due to Salvo’s expulsion (in the first half from 2-0 to 2-2, with Artistico and Macca responding to the initial one-two from Emmausso and Zunno).
