Serie C, Mantova beats Pro Vercelli and goes top of group A

Padova and Renate draw, Triestina rises to third place, Vicenza collapses

The top of group A changes masters: Mantova is now ahead of everyone, who narrowly passes the Martelli in the big match with Pro Vercelli: Muroni solves it in the 56th minute, after Burrai had a penalty saved by Sassi (among other things, 10 guests in the last half hour due to Camigliano’s expulsion). The other big match ends goalless, that of the Euganeo between Padova – who remain undefeated – and Renate of the former Pavanel: in the final it is the guest goalkeeper Fallani who protects the equalizer following a shot from the newly introduced Fusi. Triestina goes back to third place, overwhelming Legnago (3-1) with a brace from the Dutchman Redan and a trio from D’Urso (he unnecessarily shortens Giani in the 70th minute). At 20, together with Tesser’s team, there is Gigi Fresco’s Virtus Verona which passes on the Pro Sesto field thanks to the goal after 4′ by Metlika (Italian-Albanian midfielder ex Sangiuliano City). Vicenza, on the other hand, collapses, dealing Fiorenzuola their third defeat (3-1) in the last four matches and arriving in full crisis at next Sunday’s derby against Padova: the Emilians take the lead with Alberti, then a brace from the 19-year-old Omoregbe (owned by Milan, came off the bench) breaks the resistance of Diana’s team, who are not enough to close the gap (2-1) with Jacopo Pellegrini.

Arzignano ok

For Fiorenzuola it is the first victory with Francesco Turrini on the bench. In the playoff zone, Arzignano consolidated by overcoming Lumezzane (2-0): in the first half Galeotti’s own goal favored by Lakti, Bernardi’s second half an hour into the second half. Trento is also smiling, passing to Busto Arsizio on Pro Patria (2-0) thanks to a great right-footed shot from the former Terrani and Petrovic’s penalty in added time. Entertainment in Novara-Atalanta U23 (2-3): Modesto’s team scores their first goals and first three points away, Capone, Gyabuaa and – after Caradonna’s provisional equalizer – reply to Donadio’s provisional lead (all from the bench). Ghislandi (who in the final scored the final 3-2 on a delightful assist from Palestra). Novara hasn’t won for 191 days and thus slips to last place in the standings, overtaken by Alessandria, who knocked out Pergolettese (3-0) and found their first victory in the championship with Siafa and a brace from Mastalli. First point at home for Giana, who drew 0-0 against AlbinoLeffe.
