Leaders Parma never give up. As against Pisa, Pecchia’s team overturns the result in the final with captain Delprato. Yet the hosts are forced to chase throughout the match against Brescia. They went behind in the first half, even missed a penalty, but in the end they won. At the Tardini it ends 2-1: Jallow unlocks it, Avella saves Benedyczak’s spot kick. Then at the start of the second half the usual Man equalizes the scores and in the final the full-back born in ’99 sends his headers flying. Thus begins the 29th day of the championship. The yellow-blues momentarily extend their lead: they now have 62 points, +9 over second-placed Cremonese. All the others on the pitch between the weekend and Monday. On Saturday at 4.15pm the big match Cremonese-Como, on Sunday it is the turn of Venice-Bari. Sampdoria-Ascoli will close the day.

Jallow unlocks it

It’s a complicated evening for the league leaders, but you wouldn’t think so from the first minutes of the match. The first chance belongs to the hosts. Barely 50 seconds pass and Man passes everyone on the left, serves Benedyczak in the center of the area who shoots high. Brescia’s response comes with Bianchi, Chichizola is not surprised. In the 16th minute, Parma’s defense closed the spaces badly: Besaggio with a lucky deflection slotted it in for Jallow, who scored it for 0-1. Second goal of the season by the Swedish full-back. Pecchia’s men try to react, but struggle to get close to the opponent’s goal. They only shoot from distance with Benedyczak and Estevez. Then in the 40th minute Bertagnoli brought down Mihaila in the area, the referee awarded the penalty after reviewing the action at VAR. The Polish striker goes to the spot, Avella performs the miracle and saves his first professional penalty. In September, the class of 2000 was about to quit. He didn’t have a team: he left from Frosinone’s Primavera. Since January he has been chosen as third goalkeeper behind Lezzerini and Andrenacci. With his teammates in the pits, for the fourth day in a row it was his turn.

All in the finale

Under the downpour, Brescia’s defense makes a bad mistake at the start of the second half. Papetti and Adorni exchange badly, Man steals the ball and makes it 1-1: eleventh goal of the championship for the Romanian winger. In the 63rd minute Chichizola clears Galazzi, on the other side Avella deflects Partipilo’s curling shot. Ten minutes later Borrelli tries an acrobatics in the area, but nothing happens. In the 85th minute Huard comes on in place of Galazzi and gets two yellows in one minute: for the foul and for an ironic applause aimed at the referee. The guests are left with ten men in the final and the game changes. In the 88th minute Delprato overturns the result. Osorio crossed from the right and the captain headed it to make it 2-1: decisive at the last minute like last February 17th against Pisa. It is Parma’s second victory in a row, Maran’s team stops after four consecutive useful results.
