Serie A: SSC Napoli extended with evergreen Lobotka

Early Extension

Serie A leaders SSC Napoli have extended Stanislav Lobotka’s contract, which was originally valid until 2025. The Slovakia international signed a new deal until June 30, 2027 with an option for a further year.

After initial difficulties following his €21m signing from Celta Vigo, the 28-year-old has secured a regular place in Napoli’s midfield under coach Luciano Spalletti. Since taking office in the summer of 2021, Lobotka’s previously collapsed market value has risen again from 9 million to 30 million euros – a career high. In the Series A update next Tuesday (March 21), it should go even higher.
