Status: 02/07/2023 10:51 p.m

Defending champions AC Milan lost the city derby at Inter in Italy’s Serie A, continuing their negative streak. Juventus clearly won.

Milan lost 1-0 (0-1) on Sunday evening (05.02.23) and have been waiting for a win for seven competitive games. Argentinian world champion Lautaro Martinez scored the decisive goal in the 34th minute. Inter are now five points ahead of Milan in second place, who remain sixth in the Champions League after suffering their third straight league defeat.

Napoli remain leaders

Sovereign table leader is still the SSC Napoli. With the 3-0 (0-0) at Spezia Calcio, the lead over Inter is 13 points.

At the end of the 21st matchday, Juventus won 3-0 at US Salernitana on Monday evening. Dušan Vlahović (26th, 47th) and former Frankfurt player Filip Kostić (45th) scored the goals for the record champions, who only have theoretical chances of moving into the European Cup due to the deduction of 15 points.

Juventus reportedly misrepresented the value of their players in their books. The sports court of the Italian association therefore imposed a drastic penalty on the club.
