The twenty-second day of Serie A basketball starts immediately: after suffering in the first half, Treviso redeems itself in the second half and surprisingly beats Reggio Emilia 71-63. The super performance of the Harrison-Olisevicius pair is worth two fundamental points in the key to salvation for Nutribullet, while Galloway’s excellent performance (20 points, best scorer of the match) is not enough to avoid Unahotels’ fifth consecutive defeat away from home.

Reggio ahead

After a brief initial study phase, Reggio Emilia shifts into high gear with a good ball turn that triggers Galloway and Vitali in a great way. Treviso did less well, looking for points near the opponent’s rim but crashing into the wall raised by the Unahotels big men. Vitucci’s men effectively enter the game in the second quarter by raising the intensity in defense and find the right shock from a triple from mid-court by Harrison, while the guests lose the fluidity that had characterized them in the early stages of the match and commit some too much lightness. However, Nutribullet’s reaction was not enough to completely mend the rift: Reggio ended the first half with a 30-25 lead.

treviso comeback

The second half starts in the name of the Robinson-Harrison duo, who scratch Unahotels with triples. Reggio Emilia still seems banned, while Treviso continues to mount shots on both sides of the pitch and so Nutribullet sets the tone. Visibly on the ropes, Priftis’ team tries to hold on to the veteran Galloway, but the hopes of catching up with the hosts are dashed against the solidity of Olisevicius, who in the final stages of the match finds the right play several times to secure the result.

Treviso: Harrison 18, Olisevicius 16, Zanelli 9

Reggio Emilia: Galloway 20, Vitali 9, Uglietti 8
