Serie A: Atalanta defeats Milan

Atalanta Bergamo has brought AC Milan to its knees in the Italian football Serie A. Inter Milan, on the other hand, was able to take the lead in the table.

A late goal from Luis Muriel (90+5) sealed the 3:2 (1:1) win against Milan. In the 38th minute, former Leipzig player Ademola Lookman scored the opening goal for the Bergamo team, which Olivier Giroud equalized for Milan shortly before the break (45th + 3).

In the second half, Lookman scored a brace to make it 2-1 in the 55th minute, before ex-Frankfurt player Luka Jovic made it 2-2 ten minutes before the end.

Milan’s Davide Calabria (90th + 3) saw a yellow-red card. The hosts then took advantage of the majority. Milan is increasingly losing touch in the table with the two top teams Juventus Turin and Inter Milan.

Meanwhile, the Champions League finalist jumped back to the top of the table on Saturday evening. Coach Simone Inzaghi’s team won convincingly 4-0 (3-0) against Udinese Calcio and surpassed record champions Juventus Turin, who beat defending champions SSC Napoli 1-0 on Friday.

Former Bundesliga professionals Hakan Calhanoglu (37th, penalty kick) and Marcus Thuram (44th) scored for Inter. With three goals before the break in just seven minutes – in addition to Calhanoglu and Thuram, Federico Dimarco also scored (42nd) – Milan made everything clear.
