Matteo Politano (27th) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (43rd + 55th) ensured a reassuring lead before Darko Lazovic scored the only goal for Verona (60th).
Naples is currently in third place in the table and has 17 points. However, Juventus and Florence can still overtake them. Hellas sits in the lower part of the table with eight points.
Inter beats Torino FC
Inter Milan is at the top of the table again, at least for one night, the northern Italians defeated relegation candidates FC Turin 3-0 (0-0). This is where Marcus met Thuram (59th), world champion Lautaro Martinez (67th) and Hakan Calhanoglu (90th + 5, penalty kick).
However, city rivals AC, who have been overtaken by this, can strike back on Sunday evening. With a win against Juventus, Inter would be pushed out again.
