It turned out that 26-year-old T.D., who harassed Serenay Sarıkaya, who entered his house in Etiler, was not in good health. The Bureau for the Protection of the Family and the Prevention of Violence Against Women, which oversees the investigation, ruled that the file be sent to the Conciliation Prosecutor’s Office. The suspect stated that they were soul mates and said, “I feel and think that he and I are made equal in the sight of Allah.”
Serenay Sarıkaya was attacked by her obsessive fan while entering her house in Etiler with her driver. Sarikaya filed a complaint with the police. The suspect, who was taken into custody upon the complaint, stated that he and Sarıkaya were soul mates in his statement at the police station and said, “I feel and think that he and I are made equal in the sight of Allah.” It was decided that the suspect T.D., who was referred to the Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office after his statement, would be taken under observation in Bakırköy Psychiatric Hospital to determine whether he was mentally stable. It was determined that the suspect, who was kept under observation for about 1 month, was not mentally stable.
