Seoane confirms: Honorat before moving to Gladbach

Oral agreement

The first version of this article appeared on July 8th and was subsequently updated with Seoane’s quotes.

According to a report, Borussia Mönchengladbach is optimistic about a possible signing of Franck Honorat. The 26-year-old winger from Stade Brest turned out to be a dream player for the “foals” even before the past season, now it should, according to the “Sky” reporter Florian Plettenberg finally at least an oral agreement.

Update July 9, 2:28 p.m.: “In terms of personnel, we are pretty confident that this will happen in the next few days,” confirmed Gladbach’s coach Gerardo Seoane on Sunday. “This is a player who can replace Jonas Hofmann’s departure in terms of position and profile,” said the Swiss.

VfL will therefore have to shell out between 6 million and 8 million euros, with bonuses already included. The numbers make you sit up and take notice, because last summer the French broadcaster “RMC” was still talking about an offer from Gladbach for a market value of 10 million euros, which Brest was not enough for, although bonuses are said not to have been included here.
