Marilyn Manson appeared in court on Monday morning, September 18th. At his concert on August 19, 2019 in Gilford, New Hampshire, the singer is said to have spit on and spit on a camerawoman and then laughed at him. “In all my years of working with other people, I have never been so humiliated or treated as I was by this defendant. The fact that he spit and blew his nose at me was the most disgusting thing a person has ever done to me,” the victim describes the incident in court. She sued Manson for two counts of simple assault.
The American rocker pleaded no contest and therefore refuses to testify. He neither denied the charges nor admitted his guilt. Ultimately, Marilyn Manson was sentenced to a $1,200 fine and 20 hours of community service, which he must complete within the next six months. The musician wants to spend his social work with people in recovery, as he told reporters in front of the courthouse in New Hampshire.
The photographer hopes for the future “that the defendant will receive a punishment that will make him think twice before doing something like that again.” Marilyn Manson has been sued several times in the past for sexual assault.
