Kevin Volland (31) is now back in Germany, moving to Union Berlin. The striker comes from France from AS Monaco, costs 4 million euros plus bonus payments and has signed for three years with the Köpenickers.

The Champions League participant from Berlin secures the services of the ex-national player. Most recently, he played in France, scoring three goals and preparing three in 17 league appearances last year. Now he will receive crosses from the other top new signing Robin Gosens!

Volland is an old acquaintance in the Bundesliga, having already played for Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen. In 2020 he left the Werkself for the Principality, costing 11 million euros at the time.

The center forward began his career at 1860 Munich before moving to TSG Hoffenheim in 2011. The strong Bundesliga record since then: 247 games, 77 goals and 62 assists.

After Benedict Hollerbach, Mikkel Kaufmann, Brenden Aaronson and David Fofana, Volland is the fifth summer signing for the offensive – and by far the most prominent!

Volland made his debut in the DFB dress in 2014 in a test against Cameroon, after which he was allowed to play at the European Championship in 2020, but only played ten minutes there. Most recently, he played for Germany on November 14, 2021 in the World Cup qualifier in Armenia (4-1).

Maybe he hopes to play his way back into the orbit of the national team with strong performances with the Iron …
