On Sunday, Senegal faced Egypt in the 2021 African Cup of Nations final.
The final of the tournament held in Cameroon was played at the Olembe Stadium in the capital Yaounde.
Penalty kicks determined the champion in the tough final, which resulted in a 0-0 draw in regular time and extra time.
Defeating its opponent 4-3 in penalty shootouts, Senegal took the African Cup of Nations to its museum.

Three names from African football players participating in the tournament from the Super League succeeded in making it to the finals with their country. HOW DID SENEGAL COME TO THE FINAL?
Defeating Zimbabwe 1-0 in Group B, Senegal drew 0-0 with Guinea and Malawi and collected 5 points and remained in the last 16 rounds in the first place. Senegal defeated Cape Verde 2-0 in the round of 16, Equatorial Guinea in the quarterfinals and Burkina Faso 3-1 in the semifinals.
HOW DID EGYPT COME TO THE FINAL?
Egypt, on the other hand, beat Guinea-Bissau and Sudan 1-0 in Group D matches, which they started by losing 1-0 to Nigeria.
