Senate trip to Frankfurt (Oder) – to the cabinet meeting with Brandenburg

Formation of small groups during the Senate class trip to Brandenburg. On Tuesday, Rot-Grün-Rot went to Frankfurt (Oder) – but not together.

Governing Franziska Giffey (43, SPD) posted photos of herself and the SPD senators at Alexanderplatz station and in 2nd class of the RE1. Environment Senator Bettina Jarasch (53, Greens) also photographed herself and her party colleagues in RE1, but in 1st class.

First the Senate met alone in the Kleist Forum, then with the Brandenburg state government. Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke (60, SPD) exuberantly: “I’ve had a few joint cabinet meetings with Berlin, there’s never been such a good atmosphere!”

Which was perhaps also due to Giffey: “It’s the town where I was born, I saw the light of day here in the Lutherstift. Frankfurt is very close to my heart.”

What was decided: Berlin and Brandenburg are starting a hydrogen initiative. And want to urge the railways to finally push the expansion. They have ten routes in mind (including Potsdamer Stammbahn, Nordbahn).

For the return trip to Berlin, Interior Senator Iris Spranger (60, SPD) got into her armored limousine, and Education Senator Astrid-Sabine Busse (64, SPD) was also picked up.

Culture Senator Klaus Lederer (48, left) came straight to the Oderstadt in the service limo: “I had a video switch today, I don’t do it on the train!”

Wouldn’t have worked either: The RE1 drives from dead spot to dead spot, there is no WLAN. “In the currently running transport contracts not the scope of the order,” said a railway spokesman for the BZ
