The police are investigating a seller of the Strawberry Farm Marquardt near Potsdam. The man wanted to settle a parking lot argument with a pistol!
Dozens of people from Potsdam came to pick strawberries in the field on the 273 federal highway on Sunday. “The parking lot was totally full with more than 40 cars,” said boss Lutz Kleinert of the “Märkische Allgemeine Zeitung” (MAZ). “We had to close the facility. A few cars came from Berlin and still wanted to go up there.”
The Berlin strawberry fans not only blocked the entrance, but also the main road.
Kleinert: “The argument got loud, the Berliners physically threatened the person who entered.” In order to help him, a salesman grabbed the pistol he used to scare crows and starlings off the plantation.
A loud warning shot in the air! The frightened Berliners promptly dialed the police emergency number. Officers quickly moved in and confiscated weapons and ammunition.
The police are now investigating the gunman for threats and violation of the Weapons Act.
Strawberry farm boss Kleinert: “It was very warm and the atmosphere heated. That won’t happen again.”
