British retailer Selfridges is launching a children’s clothing rental service.

The rental offer for children aged 6 months to 16 years includes clothing for festive occasions, outerwear, everyday clothing and diaper bags. The range includes selected brands such as Off-White and Self-Portrait, the company announced on Tuesday. Optionally, the chosen garments can be rented for a period of 4 to 20 days, with the starting price being 20 British pounds (about 23 euros) for four days.

Selfridges is committed to a circular future

Selfridges’ children’s rental service, like the adult offering, is operated by fashion rental service Hurr. The rental initiatives are part of the company’s “Project Earth” strategy, which hopes to generate 45 percent of sales from circular fashion and related offerings by 2030.

In winter, the offer is also expanded to include ski equipment for children. Already last year, a few months after the introduction of the rental service in May 2021, the British company introduced ski equipment rental for adults.
