Pe think of a perfect and beautiful vase, but broken. It seems compromised and no longer usable, yet if we manage to repair it it can shine again more than before. It’s called “kintsugi” the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken objects with lacquer and gold.
Spiritual writer Selene Calloni Williams, founder of shamanic yoga, he also sees it as the ability to transform our physical and emotional wounds in an extraordinary opportunity for growth and change. He talks about it in the book Kintsugi – Heal the wounds of the soul and make every moment of your life precious (Piemme).
Selene Calloni Williams brings kintsugi… on tour
A path of awareness to make every moment precious that the pupil of the great psychoanalyst James Hillman, founder of the Imaginal Academy and of the Non-Therapy Society, recounts with episodes of her life alternating them with the fantastic story of the ancient samurai and shaman Tomoe .
These are nine laws in all to overcome feelings of guilt, anger and dissatisfaction and regain enthusiasm and joy.
The book, already a bestseller, was staged in May at the Manzoni theater with Calloni Williams herself on stage (there were also Michelangelo Chini, voice and actor, Dasha Shumilova, actress, in addition to the drummers ofQuelli del Taiko for directed by Ludovico Nolfi) and, now, it is preparing to transform itself into a very particular tour: the “Le vie dell’Olimpo” project.
The streets of Olympus start from Venice
The first stop on this imaginary journey is Venice. Selene Calloni Williams, who as a very young girl studied and practiced Theravada Buddhist meditation in the forest, will be at Palazzo Donà dalle Rose for Symposium, a meditation ritual on 28 June.
It is an immersive experience in the beauty, art and harmony of a precious location.
The Palazzo is a historic residence, it is the venue for national and international art exhibitions managed by the Donà dalle Rose Foundation led by Chiara Modica Donà dalle Rose. It houses a collection that boasts and preserves works by Old Master Painting artists and contemporary artists including Schifano, De Chirico, Cesare Catania, Marie Makherbe, Barbara Cammarata, Edo Janic, Michele Tombolini, Endless and many others. And a Banksy too.
Selene Calloni Williams: «Kintsugi is like a sun that warms the heart»
«Kintsugi can rise within us like a sun that warms our hearts, a golden fountain to which to expose ourselves naked and thus fill every crack, every wrinkleevery wound of our psyche and our body with the gushing gold of awareness» explains Selene Calloni Williams who can be followed live on social media from Monday to Thursday from 7 to 8 on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
«The idea is to create a “new place” dedicated to those who want to belong to the change of which we are part today with the golden dust of awareness and the determination of those who are already on their way towards the new. This is the moment to feel who we are and remember our origins, we live in the Earthly Olympus where we can be what we imagine» explains the author of the project Giorgia Jenca “Immaginal Ambassador & Essence Event Advisor”.
The Symposium is reserved for sixty people and will be held from 10 to 20.The experience also includes a visit to the Rosa Mundi exhibition in the day.
