Selen Görgüzel deleted the name ‘Emre’!

The marriage of Hamdi Alkan and Selen Görgüzel, which started in 2014, ended last month. The 55-year-old director, who applied to the Beykoz Family Court through his lawyer, filed a divorce case against his wife “due to the shaking of the foundation of the marriage union”. Hamdi Alkan attended the hearing at Beykoz Family Court with his lawyer Fahrettin Cem Keser. Selen Görgüzel was also present at the hearing with her lawyer Şeyda Yıldırım.

The hearing with the confidentiality decision lasted 10 minutes. Görgüzel, who was the first to leave the courtroom, could not control her tears. Seeing this, Alkan went to his divorced wife and spoke for a while.

Posting on her social media account after the hearing, the 43-year-old actress said, “We cried and laughed together for nine years. We breathed the same air, we loved, we were loved, we fought a lot, we got together a lot, we collected unforgettable memories. Even though our husband-wife relationship ended today, I know that for life. We will always exist as friends in our lives. May happiness always be with you.” Hamdi Alkan also shared this post on his own account, showing that his feelings are mutual.

According to the protocol, the court ruled that the house in New York, USA, belonging to Hamdi Alkan and a luxury car be given to Selen Görgüzel. The famous couple did not demand any alimony, material and moral compensation from each other.

THE COURT FOUNDS ÖRGÜZEL’s request justified

According to the news of Özge Eğrikar from Hürriyet newspaper; Selen Görgüzel has filed a lawsuit to correct her name, which is ‘Selen Emre’ in the population. The actress, who applied to the Istanbul Civil Court of First Instance through her lawyer Şeyda Yıldırım, stated that she did not use the name ‘Emre’ and that she had difficulties in official proceedings because it was a male name.

Selen Görgüzel and her lawyer Şeyda Yıldırım and the representative of the population directorate attended the hearing at the Istanbul Civil Court of First Instance. The court found Görgüzel’s request justified and decided to change her name from ‘Selen Emre’ to ‘Selen’ in the population.
