Other foreign languages
Although the majority of Catalan students have taken the English exam, there have also been tests of other foreign languages such as French, German and Italian. In the French exam, the students had to listen to a recording about the actor Sami Bouajila; read a text about kindness and happiness; and write an essay about whether they consider themselves kind people, what kindness is for them or what qualities they appreciate the most.
As regards the German test, in listening comprehension it was the experience of a teacher from India working in Germany; in the reading a text on more convenient purchases has been treated; and the newsroom asked to create a dialogue to buy a cell phone with more battery, an e-mail about the experience in a language course, or about the advantages or disadvantages of living in the city or in the countryside.
The Italian one has had a test of oral comprehension on racism and imperialism in the fascist regime; a reading about the ecosystem in the Mediterranean; and an essay on how people can contribute to reducing climate change, how to solve the reality of alien species in letter format to the readers of a newspaper or how institutions can contribute to raising awareness of sustainability.
