Singer İrem Derici was vetoed by Selami Şahin, the father of her former love Lider Şahin. The pop singer, who was a guest on the ‘Songs Tell Us’ program, had sung the song ‘Oh Olsun’, the lyrics and music of which belonged to Selami Şahin.

There were news that Şahin, who saw the former bride-to-be sang his own song, sent a warning to the producer of the program. It was claimed that the master artist said “Irem cannot sing my song”.

In one part of the conversation, the master artist also talked about how he clings to life after a traffic accident in the 1980s. Saying that his car was hit by a truck, Şahin described those terrible moments as follows:
“On the way to Caddebostan, a truck sprang up in front of us. My friend next to me passed away. Putting my hand on my forehead, I protected my head, otherwise I would have died. They almost cut off my arm. The leader was just one year old. Somewhere there is hair because I was hit on the head, and somewhere it is not.”
