SEK mission in Pankow after a dispute over the taxi bill

A dispute over a taxi bill escalated in the evening of Easter Sunday in Pankow.

A taxi driver (43) drove a woman from Köpenick into Waldstrasse. Arriving there, the woman is said not to have agreed to the fare and then called two acquaintances.

According to the taxi driver, one of the two, a 63-year-old, is said to have threatened the taxi driver with a gun stuck in his waistband. Then both men and the woman are said to have paid the fare after all.

The taxi driver called the police anyway. This approached around 9.30 p.m. with a special task force.

After a judicial search warrant was issued by telephone, the special forces entered the alleged perpetrator’s apartment at around 11:50 p.m. There they met the suspect, two women and another man.

The 63-year-old denied showing the taxi driver a gun. Police officers found an airsoft gun in the apartment, which they confiscated. And: He had a decent flag – 3 per thousand! The man sustained a finger injury during the arrest, which required hospital treatment.
