From 6 a.m., 80 emergency services – including elite police officers from the SEK – searched an apartment on Karl-Marx-Allee (Friedrichshain).
A total of five search warrants were carried out on five suspects (21 to 43). “The operation was a success, evidence was secured,” said police spokeswoman Anja Dierschke when asked about the BZ
According to BZ information, the investigators secured a high-quality violin worth an estimated 300,000 euros.
A spokesman for the Berlin public prosecutor’s office confirmed at the request of the BZ that there were two procedures in total. One process dealt explicitly with finding the missing violin.
At least one knife, a baton, drugs and a device for manipulating car speedometers were also seized during the searches.
