Queen + Adam Lambert opened the Platinum Party at Buckingham Palace on June 4th with their performance. The band played classics like “We Will Rock You”, “Don’t Stop Me Now” and “We Are The Champions”.
Queen Elizabeth with a guest appearance
The Queen herself introduced the performance together with the cartoon character Paddington. After Lambert walked a catwalk to meet the cheering crowd, Brian May was lifted onto a platform above the stage to perform a solo. You can see the show below in the article.
Leading up, the Queen guitarist recalled the band’s last performance at Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee in 2002:
