See: Midshipmen walk traditional King’s March through Den Helder

On Wednesday afternoon, the Corps of Midshipmen marched through Den Helder in honor of the King. The so-called King’s March takes place every year on the day before King’s Day.

The procession received a lot of attention from bystanders and passers-by. Accompanied by music, the long line marched from Willemsoord through the center of the city to end at the KIM.

In addition to midshipmen, students of the Royal Navy, cadets from the army and air force also participated.

In 1985, during his service at the Royal Institute for the Navy, King Willem-Alexander was himself part of the Corps Midshipmen.
