As things stand, Depeche Mode’s “Memento Mori” tour ends on December 17, 2023 with four shows in Los Angeles – but if you believe the online hints, it could just be a Christmas break.
Depeche Mode also on tour in 2024? That speaks for itself!
Nothing has been officially confirmed at this time. Nevertheless, an extension of the tour is not unreasonable. The following indications suggest that Dave Gahan and Martin Gore will also be touring through Europe – in particular possibly even Germany – in 2024:
Livenation Spain is open Instagram and Facebook have already posted a post showing the name Madrid in a “Memento Mori” look. This should therefore be a clear indication for all fans that Depeche Mode are coming to the Spanish capital. In addition, noisy “Volt Magazine” speculated about further shows in Bilbao and Barcelona.
There is also talk on social media of two shows at the Accor Arena in Paris – on March 3rd and 5th. Here, in what was then the Palais Omnisports de Bercy, the live DVD from 2001 was recorded. Tickets are said to be available from July 17th. As early as July 10, alleged insiders are expecting advance sales to start for other European shows. There is also speculation about further concerts in Cologne or Berlin, even if there are still no indications of this.
A tour extension would not be unusual. Dave Gahan had already revealed in an interview that the band would also like to perform in Asia. In addition, noisy “depechemode.de” the conditions of participation in a charity campaign have already indicated that Depeche Mode could be on tour at least until April 2024.
