A day after the major fire in a multi-company building in Westknollendam, the damage is clearly visible. It is not yet known how the fire started. The fire broke out around 12:45 p.m. yesterday afternoon.
Firefighters spent all afternoon battling the blaze. Significant efforts were made to contain the fire. According to the security region, an explosion occurred in the warehouse, after which the fire started. The warehouse housed, among other things, a car company.
Thanks to the efforts of the fire brigade and the rain, they were able to save part of the shed. Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire. That is still unclear at the moment.
