In the midst of the discussion about the role of Gerardo Milman, Patricia Bullrich wanted to bring peace of mind: “They are not going to find me letting go of his hand,” said the pre-candidate for Together for Change change about whoever was his campaign manager. mpana.
The truth is that the key man of the PRO president is no longer active. At least in a way it was momentary. After the Frente de e Todos pointed him out as one of the alleged ideologues of the attack on Cristina Kirchner, the man secluded himself in his house, had no more public appearances and from there he sees how he appears in one and another complaint against him. A terrifying end of the year.
OUTSIDE. Milman has been choosing silence for weeks. Despite the invitations and the questions posed by journalism, Bullrich’s key man prefers to wait for the wave to subside before reappearing. In the environment of the leader of the PRO, they even confess that he is depressed. The order is to go out and bank him publicly, but indoors he does not stop receiving claims for his actions.
His last appearance was also surrounded by scandal: it was on December 1, in the middle of the Chamber of Deputies. The Together for Change bloc had managed to suspend the session that the Frente de Todos wanted to rush, despite not having achieved a quorum. It all ended in shouting and various insults. But the one that stood out the most is the one that the Entre Ríos legislator Blanca Osuna snapped at him. “Milman murderer. Hand over the phone ”, she shot from her bench about the alleged intervention in the attack on Cristina and the lack of collaboration before the Justice. Bullrich’s trusted man heard her clearly, but chose not to answer.
The PRO candidate wanted to silence the rumors about the displacement of the deputy. “There are political operations all the time. Being with health problems due to everything that happened and the stress, he has requested a license due to the need to take care of himself physically and psychologically, ”P Bullrich explained in an interview with Radio Rivadavia.
For the former Minister of Security, Kirchnerism put together an operation “just like they did with the Maldonado Case.” They denounced him because they claim to have heard him in a bar tell a couple of his advisers that when he attacked the vice president, he would be on his way to his beach vacation. The security cameras locate him in the bar in question, Casablanca, but no one will ever be able to know if he said such a thing or not. The one who claims to have heard the phrase is the adviser to a deputy of the Frente de Todos, who he declared as a reserved witness before the Justice.
Milman’s text would have been: “When they kill her, kill her, I’m on my way to the Coast.” That trip was also made simultaneously with the attack on CFK.
The truth is that Milman did not have a leading role in the campaign of the PRO president either. In Bullrich’s environment they assure that she is her own setter, so her day-to-day life did not change. In practice, the ascent of Buenos Aires legislator Juan Pablo Arenaza already took place, in whom the tasks carried out by Milman derived.
TO THE BANK. After the advance K for the alleged role of Milman in the attack, Together for Change released a statement to defend him. But then other “mess” began to appear, as they call it in the PRO. And there no one made reference to his name anymore. There are many who let go of his hand, even in the lower house.
It is that there was a journalistic revelation that left him off side. It was discovered that the deputy had hired 34 advisers, who generate more than 5 million pesos a month in expenses. And that in addition his wife, the Buenos Aires legislator Florencia Retamoso, has 18 other collaborators, for 4 million a month, according to the journalist Mauro Federico. A total of 52 people hired just by the two of them.
In the PRO they try to lower the foam to the discussion: “It is not a crime to have advisers”, they assure about excessive hiring, but by no means off they confess that it is an oversight that hits Bullrich on the Achilles heel: if the candidate wants to show that the State has to be more efficient, it cannot have a trusted man with such a list of workers. Logic question.
The scandals accumulate. In the Daniel Rafecas court there is a case that has gained momentum in recent days, in which Milman is being investigated for giving invoices to a company that was a contractor for the Ministry of Security, while he was part of that portfolio. Metalúrgica Oliva Hermanos SA would have even given him a car: the deputy moved in a 2008 Peugeot from that company with his respective blue card. Now the prosecutor Carlos Stornelli could accuse him of accepting gifts.
As Bullrich presses on with his presidential campaign, the once-confident man keeps stumbling. His future is uncertain: he now not only has to give political explanations, but he must also do so before the Justice.
