After Chelsea farewell
After midfielder Franck Kessié, FC Barcelona made the second free transfer for the new season perfect within a few hours. As the Catalans announced, Andreas Christensen is moving to the top LaLiga club and will receive a contract until 2026. The agreement includes an exit clause of 500 million euros.
Most recently, the 26-year-old central defender announced his departure from Chelsea – his signature in Barcelona had been apparent for months. The Dane has meanwhile also been traded at FC Bayern. Within a very short time, Barça has increased its squad value by 80 million to 690 million euros, jumping from twelfth to ninth place in the international comparison of the most valuable teams and overtaking Inter Milan, Manchester United and Atlético Madrid.
