Second Dutch child (3) dies after serious accident in Germany | Domestic

A second Dutch child died on Wednesday evening after a serious car accident in Tüddern, Germany. It concerns a 3 year old boy. Immediately after the accident, last Friday afternoon, a 2-year-old girl who was also in the car died.

The two children, together with a 32-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, were in a car that collided head-on with another car in a bend on a regional road in Tüddern, Germany, just across the border from Sittard. The girl was killed instantly, the three others were seriously injured. German police report that the boy died of his injuries in hospital on Wednesday evening.

The four occupants and the 28-year-old man in the other car involved all come from the Limburg municipality of Echt-Susteren, Mayor Jos Hessels said last Saturday. He did not want to comment further on the situation at the time.

The German police are still investigating the cause of the accident and have called for witnesses in recent days. We are specifically looking for the driver of a white car who must have driven near the accident. The victims of the accident could not yet explain the accident due to their injuries, the newspaper reported Aachener Zeitung Monday.
