After his second operation, BVB professional Sébastien Haller reported from the hospital.
“A new step in recovery, surgery number two went well,” Haller wrote on social media. He also posted a photo of himself from the hospital bed and one of his medical teams.
“A big thank you to the medical team for the daily help,” added the Borussia Dortmund striker. The 28-year-old ended his statement by saying: “I hate starting the sequel.”
BVB responded promptly to Haller’s post. “Stay strong, Seb!” The tweet was commented on by the Dortmund Twitter account.
Haller, who was suffering from a testicular tumor, had to undergo another operation. “I would like to say that the fight is not over for me. I will have to undergo an operation to finally put an end to this tumor that keeps me off the field,” wrote the Ivorian international on Twitter about a week ago .
Haller initially complained of being unwell after a session at the BVB training camp in Bad Ragaz/Switzerland in July. The tumor was discovered during intensive medical examinations.
BVB comeback? Haller has a “schedule in mind”
Haller had previously toyed with an early comeback. “A lot of people ask me when I’ll be back, but there’s a lot to consider, so it’s difficult to give them a straight answer,” he said in October.
Personally, he has “a schedule in mind,” emphasized the attacker. “If I’m lucky enough not to need an operation, it can happen very quickly. Three weeks after the last treatment phase, they check what stage the metastases are at and whether an operation is necessary or not. If I don’t need an operation, think I think I’m in good shape at the end of these three weeks.”
