A football player Amir Nasr-Azadani has received the death sentence, reports the IranWire website. In Iran, several people who participated in the protests have received harsh sentences recently.
Nazr-Azadani, 26, is By Sebastian Strandvall teammate and roommate from the 2015–16 season. The duo represented Iran’s Rah Ahan at the time.
Strandwall has reacted to the situation on Twitter.
– My friend Amir Nasr has been arrested and sentenced to death. Alone, my voice is weak. I am asking all my followers, please be his voice.
IranWire writes that Nasr-Azadan is one of the accused of complicity in the death of three representatives of the militia forces in the demonstration. According to IranWire’s source, Nasr-Azadani has taken part in some demonstrations but was not present at the scene of the deaths.
