Forward Sebastian Aho, who plays for the NHL team Carolina Hurricanes, has received a high-class honor. By far the best scorer of his team was chosen as the best NHL player in the last week of the year.
There is a reason for the rare achievement. During three matches, Aho collected 2+9 power points. His balance for the entire season is 15 goals and 27 assists. It entitles the series to 15th place in the points market. Among the Finns, only the ninth Mikko Rantanen.
Carolina won their game of the week and climbed the standings of the loud Eastern Conference. The team is fourth in the conference after a year.
The next time Aho and the other Hurricanes players will be seen on the rink is between Tuesday and Wednesday night, Finnish time, when they face the conference’s number one New York Rangers.
Rangers striker Artemi Panarin (powers 5+1) was the second star of the week. The three-star was a rookie defenseman for the New Jersey Devils Luke Hughes (3+2).
