THE HAGUE – Seb Jongejans from Scheveningen is the first water sportsman to be rescued from the sea thanks to a special watch with which he could pass on his location to the Royal Dutch Rescue Society (KNRM) and Jumpteam Scheveningen. “I was exhausted after fighting for 45 minutes to get through the surf. After that my legs and arms were broken. The fact that I had the watch on gave me peace of mind,” says Jongejans.
