Season finale of the LH3 podcast Mind Jumps

Robert Mayknecht realized as Head of “geo – The Air Workers” already numerous artistic fabric projects that were in the truest sense of the word monument-worthy: in 2021 his company made it possible for the Christo team to Wrapping of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and was thus directly involved in creating at least a temporary landmark. The question of what the veil does to a landmark also arises Sonja Hnilica. The professor of building history and urban culture recently expanded her research focus to include the topic of monument preservation. The maintenance of remembrance is not only about buildings – image and sound also capture the story: Joerg Linowitzki, Professor for double bass at the Music Academy in Lübeck, planned a German-Polish project to mark the 50th anniversary of Willy Brands Kniefall in Warsaw, bringing together students of both nationalities to perform music by Johannes Brahms and Krzysztof Penderecki. However, the term “landmark” can be defined much more broadly. Prof. Dr. Malte Spielmann researches as director of the Institute for Human Genetics at the University of Luebeck on the human genome – the human emblem, so to speak. The research focus of his scientific work is to identify non-coding variants as the cause of human hereditary diseases.

The podcast mental leaps

Under the moderation of Theresa Lichtlein, Head of Communications at the Technical University of Lübeck, the Lübeck hoch 3 podcast highlights research, culture and society topics once a month. Representatives of the Lübeck University of Music, the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences and the University of Lübeck are invited and, depending on the topic, an expert as a guest.

The podcast is available through the website www.gedankenspruenge-podcast.de and all common platforms ready for retrieval. The episodes air every Wednesday mid-month at 12 p.m on-line. The eleventh episode wraps up the “Really True!” season with the theme “Landmark” on March 16th.

Knowledge transfer, mutual dialogue and new ideas – this is what Lübeck stands for 3. The initiators and representatives of the three universities see their own podcast as an important building block to stimulate discourse with society about science and culture.
