The DFL has announced the next exact dates. The 14th to 18th matchdays in the Bundesliga and the 16th to 18th matchdays in the 2nd Bundesliga have been fixed.
The duel between the Champions League participants between Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig will be the top game on December 9th at 6:30 p.m. A day later, third-placed VfB Stuttgart welcomes current leaders Bayer Leverkusen (3:30 p.m.). The following Friday (8:30 p.m.) Borussia Mönchengladbach and Werder Bremen open the 15th matchday in the traditional duel.
Bayern against Stuttgart and Hoffenheim on free TV
Record champions Bayern Munich will be shown on free TV in two Bundesliga games around the turn of the year. The game against VfB Stuttgart on December 17th (7:30 p.m.) and the start of 2024 against TSG Hoffenheim on January 12th (8:30 p.m.) will be broadcast on Sat.1.
At the end of the year there is an English week in which Bayern play at VfL Wolfsburg on Wednesdays (8.30 p.m.).
Mainz and Union open the second half of the season
With the last matchday of the first half of the season and the duel between the record champions and Hoffenheim, the new year begins. BVB will play in the first top game of 2024 on January 13th (6.30 p.m.) at Darmstadt 98. FSV Mainz 05 and Union Berlin open the second half of the season on January 19th, with RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen playing the top-class top game a day later (6.30 p.m.).
The DFL scheduled matchdays 16 to 18 for the 2nd Bundesliga. The last two top games of the year on Saturday evening at 8:30 p.m. will be played by VfL Osnabrück and FC St. Pauli on December 9th, as well as Holstein Kiel and Hannover 96 a week later. After the winter break, the matches will start on January 19th (6:30 p.m.). Karlsruhe against Osnabrück and Kiel against Braunschweig in the second half of the season.
