The police may have found the scooter of the missing Gino van der Straeten (9) from Kerkrade on Thursday evening. The scooter was found in a parking lot at the swimming pool In de Bende in Landgraaf. The area has been cordoned off for further investigation.
The boy has been missing since Wednesday night. That evening he was last seen with his scooter in a playground in Kerkrade.
Search
The missing boy’s sister fears he has been taken. Citizens have now launched a search for the boy. So far without result.

Health
The Limburg police are seriously concerned about the health of the 9-year-old. Head of the Limburg criminal investigation department Danny Frijters: “We are about to enter the second night and that is of course always dangerous for a nine-year-old.” The fact that Gino would be with a family member is almost impossible. “We have good contact with the family and we also look at the investigation together. If Gino had been with family, we probably would have known that.”
