Music producer Sean Combs, also known as “Diddy,” is accused in a lawsuit of raping and abusing his ex-girlfriend. Casandra Ventura, better known as Cassie, claims he raped, abused and forced her to do things she didn’t want to do multiple times during their 11-year relationship.
Physical and psychological threats
From the court documents that “Page Six“, it appears that Diddy was prone to “uncontrollable outbursts of anger and frequently brutally beat Ms. Ventura.” This was often observed by the producer’s employees, but “no one dared to go against their fearsome and cruel boss.”
During their relationship, Diddy allegedly forced Ventura to sleep with male prostitutes, physically abused them, and supplied them with drugs. She should also always carry his firearm in her pocket so that she would always be reminded of the serious damage he could cause. Late in their relationship, the CEO of Revolt, a cable television network co-founded by Combs, allegedly broke into the young woman’s home to rape her.
Diddy staff begged her to stay
In the Indictments It states: “Over the years that Mr. Combs physically and sexually abused Ms. Ventura, she repeatedly attempted to escape his tight grip over her life. Every time she went into hiding, Mr. Combs’ vast network of companies and affiliates found her, and those who worked for Mr. Combs’ company begged her to return to him. Many went so far as to explicitly state that not returning to Mr. Combs would hinder their success in the entertainment industry.”
Ventura himself also speaks out: “After years of silence and darkness. I am finally ready to tell my story and speak up for myself and other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”
Casandra Ventura and Sean Combs met in 2005 and were in an on-and-off relationship from 2007 to 2018. After the indictment, Combs’ lawyer initially denied all allegations.
