A seal that got entangled in rope and a fishing line washed up on the beach of Schiermonnikoog on Saturday. The animal comes to strength at the Pieterburen Seal Center, the organization reports.
The seal was injured in her neck and throat. The animal sought help from bystanders, the shelter knows. The seal has been cared for in recent days. “She’s doing a lot better now, but she’s not there yet.”
The seal bears the name Tefiti.
